- We collect the information you give us and the information generated when you use our website, our storefronts and our WhatsApp customer service.
- If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp number, your WhatsApp profile name and the content of your messages, so that we can answer you and handle your order.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you marketing messages on WhatsApp without your consent.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time — see Your rights and How to request deletion.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to https://www.yuksonhongkonglimited.com, our customer service channels (including WhatsApp), and any other channel that links to this policy.
Data controller: Yuk Son Hong Kong Limited is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
- Contact details — such as your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
- Order information — products purchased, order value, payment status, delivery preferences and returns.
- Communications — the content of messages, enquiries, complaints and feedback you send us, and any attachments or media you share.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and the pages you visit.
- Usage data — how you interact with our website and services, including timestamps and referral sources.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see section 8.
2.3 Information we receive through WhatsApp
When you contact us on WhatsApp, or when you have asked us to contact you there, we receive and store the following through the WhatsApp Business Platform:
| What we receive | Why we receive it |
|---|---|
| Your WhatsApp phone number (WhatsApp ID) and, where available, a business-scoped user identifier | To identify the conversation and reply to the correct person |
| Your WhatsApp profile name and profile picture, if you have set them to be visible | To address you correctly and recognise you in our support workspace |
| The content of your messages — text, images, documents, audio and video you send us | To answer your questions and resolve your order, delivery or after-sales issue |
| Message metadata — message identifiers, timestamps, message type and delivery/read status | To operate the conversation reliably, avoid duplicates, and measure whether messages were delivered |
| Order and account references you or we include in the conversation | To connect the conversation to your order so we can help you faster |
2.4 Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from payment processors, logistics and delivery partners, marketplaces and channel platforms where you have placed an order with us, and fraud-prevention services.
3. How and why we use your information
| Purpose | What we rely on |
|---|---|
| Providing our products and services, including confirming, fulfilling and delivering orders | Performance of a contract with you |
| Answering your enquiries and providing customer support, including on WhatsApp | Performance of a contract; our legitimate interest in serving customers |
| Sending service and transactional messages (order confirmation, dispatch, delivery, returns) on WhatsApp or other channels | Performance of a contract; your request or consent |
| Sending marketing messages, where permitted | Your prior consent (opt-in), which you may withdraw at any time |
| Improving our website, products and service quality, and understanding how our channels perform | Our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business |
| Preventing fraud, abuse and misuse of our services | Our legitimate interest; compliance with legal obligations |
| Meeting accounting, tax, customs and other legal or regulatory requirements | Compliance with legal obligations |
4. Consent, opt-in and opting out
We only send you business-initiated messages on WhatsApp where you have given us your number and a clear expectation of hearing from us — for example by messaging us first, by asking us to contact you, or by giving us your number when you place an order. Where required, we will ask for your explicit consent before sending you marketing messages.
You can stop marketing messages at any time, free of charge, by:
- replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE or 取消订阅 to the WhatsApp message you received;
- using the opt-out link or instruction in any other message we send you; or
- contacting us at contact@yuksonhongkonglimited.com.
Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about an order you have placed (for example a delivery notification), which form part of the service you asked for.
5. When we share your information
We share personal data only as needed, and only with parties bound to protect it:
- Messaging platform providers. WhatsApp and Meta Platforms, Inc. process messages on our behalf when we use the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Service providers that support us — hosting, IT, customer support tooling, analytics and security — under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
- Payment providers to process your payment, and logistics and delivery partners to deliver your order.
- Professional advisers such as auditors, accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
- Authorities where we are required to do so by law, court order or a lawful request, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If our business is reorganised, merged or sold, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
6. International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong SAR, China, and some of our service providers (including Meta and cloud hosting providers) may store or process data outside your country or region. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected, using contractual and organisational safeguards with our providers.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then delete or anonymise it:
| Type of data | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Order, invoice and tax records | Up to 7 years, to meet accounting and tax requirements |
| WhatsApp and other customer support conversations | 24 months from the last interaction, then deleted |
| Marketing consent records and opt-out lists | Kept for as long as needed to honour your opt-out |
| Website analytics | Up to 26 months in aggregate or pseudonymised form |
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you disable them.
9. How we protect your information
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and least-privilege permissions, credential management, logging, and restricting access to personal data to personnel and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly if an incident occurs.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct — ask us to fix data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete — ask us to delete your personal data (see section 11);
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent to marketing or messaging at any time;
- Object or restrict — object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- Portability — ask for data you provided to be provided in a portable format, where applicable;
- Complain — lodge a complaint with us, or with your local data protection authority (in Hong Kong SAR, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@yuksonhongkonglimited.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within 30 days.
11. How to request deletion of your data
What happens next:
- We acknowledge your request and verify that you are the owner of the number or order concerned.
- We delete, or irreversibly anonymise, the personal data covered by your request from our active systems, and instruct our service providers to do the same where applicable.
- We confirm completion to you.
We may keep a limited record of the request, and certain data where we are legally required or entitled to retain it (for example tax and accounting records, fraud-prevention records, or data needed to establish or defend legal claims). Deletion may also mean removing your number from our WhatsApp contact list so you no longer receive messages from us.
12. Children
Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age required to consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at contact@yuksonhongkonglimited.com and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
14. Contact us
For any question about this policy or how we handle your personal data — including access, correction and deletion requests — contact us at contact@yuksonhongkonglimited.com. If you need to write to us by post, email us first and we will provide our registered office address for correspondence.
